Captain Christopher F. De La Torre was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a 2006 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, SC, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.  He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Business Organizational Security Management from Webster University.


CPT De La Torre has attended and graduated from the Basic Officer Leaders Course II, Fort Sill, OK (2006),  Military Police Basic Officer Leaders Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2007), Interservice Non-Lethal Individual Weapons Instructor Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2008), Military Police Captains Career Course, Fort Leonard Wood, MO (2011), Instructor Training Course- US Army Cadet Command, Fort Knox, KY (2013), and Military History Instructor Course, Fort Leavenworth, KS (2014).


He has served in the following assignments: Platoon Leader, 577th Military Police Company, Camp Humphreys, S. Korea (2007-2008), Executive Officer, 148th Military Police Company, Fort Carson, CO (2008-2009), Assistant BN S3/Training Officer, 759th Military Police Battalion, Fort Carson, CO (2009-2010), Host Nation Mentor, RC-East Afghanistan, (2009-2010), Commander, 217th Military Police Detachment, Fort Lee, VA (2011-2013), Assistant Professor of Military Science, CUNY Army ROTC, New York, NY (2013-2015).


US Army Reserve Assignments: Plans/Operations Officer, 108th Training Command (IET), Charlotte, NC. (2015-2016). CPT De La Torre’s current assignment is with 4-415th Regiment, 104th Training Division (Leader Training) as an Adjunct Faculty (AF) and Unit Team Leader (UTL) for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Army ROTC 49er Battalion.


CPT De La Torre’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), National Defense Service Medal , Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon, and NATO Medal.


CPT De La Torre is married to Dawn Truver of Denver, Colorado and live in Charlotte, North Carolina with their two girls Norah and Colette.
