ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS ARE BASED SOLEY ON THE STUDENT'S MERITS - NOT FINANCIAL NEED.
The two-year scholarship is available for those who have two academic years of college remaining. Typically these are fulltime (12+ credit hours) students already enrolled in ROTC classes and attending a 4-year University or College.
To qualify, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be between ages 17 and 27
- Have a College GPA of at least 2.50
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Meet physical standards
- Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (U.S. Army Reserve or Army National Guard)
In order to be competitive, you want to have the following:
- Have a college GPA of 3.5 or higher (4-year University GPA, not Community College)
- Score a 250 or higher on the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT)
- Have no civil convictions or medical issues
- Be DODMERB medically qualified
- Be a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degree/major student
- Be a Nursing Student
