Sergeant First Class Eric D. Revels began his military career as an Army Reservist in Salisbury, North Carolina as a Specialist with the 991st Transportation Company. Fort Sill, Oklahoma is where he attended Basic Combat Training. He then attended Advanced Individual Training in Fort Lee, Virginia where he became a Petroleum Supply Specialist. In 2003 his unit deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon redeploying, he attended the U.S. Army Recruiting School. After which he was assigned to 2nd Recruiting Brigade, Raleigh Recruiting Battalion, Fayetteville Recruiting Company, Rockingham Recruiting Station from 2004 to 2009. He was then assigned to the 2nd Recruiting Brigade, Raleigh Recruiting Battalion, Fayetteville Recruiting Company, Hope Mills Recruiting Station from 2009 to 2013. His next assignment was to the 6th Recruiting Brigade, Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion, Battle Creek Recruiting Company, Kalamazoo Recruiting Station. His current assignment is to the 2nd Recruiting brigade, Raleigh Recruiting Battalion, Charlotte Recruiting Company, EastTown Recruiting Station,
Sergeant First Class Revels’ awards and decorations include the Army Superior Unit Award, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device for Mobilization, Gold Recruiter Badge with three Sapphires, Gold Recruiter Ring, and the Glenn E. Morrell Recruiting Excellence Medallion and Ring. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Livingstone College and earned a Certified Teaching License for Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Sergeant First Class Revels is a graduate of the U.S. Army Recruiting Course, the Warrior Leaders Course, the Advanced Leaders Course, the Senior Leaders Course (Commandants List) and the Equal Opportunity Leaders Course. Sergeant First Class Revels is married to his lovely wife Shiontel and has a daughter named Erica.
